Cape Byron Lighthouse
I took pretty much an entire reel of this lighthouse (and I think I did some in black and white too). I couldn't get it all in without distorting the image, so I decided to make a feature of it. The lighthouse itself is at Cape Byron, about a mile or so from Byron Bay. Cape Byron's the most easterly point of Australia and Byron Bay's a pretty cool place which makes it a tourist magnet. There were quite a few around when I visited so I had to pick my moments to photograph – especially given the wide field of view. Patience won the day though and I haven't had to retouch anyone out of this. Fuji Superia 100, polarising filter.
