Two police officers – Constable Payne and Constable Antoniazzi – stand outside the Nike store on Oxford Circus in London after protesters threw paint at the store and the police. Around 300,000 people joined the March for the Alternative, an anti-cuts protest held on March 26th. Direct action groups splintered off from the main march, harassing businesses on Oxford Street and blocking traffic.
