As well as making something out of the strong reflections and the serenity of the scene I also liked the way that man's impact upon the scene is so sudden, with the pillars of the viaduct plunging down from the sky. Shooting it was tricky due to the strong back lighting. I took an exposure reading from the grass on the left of the image and used that, and adjusted the curves a little in post. Ilford HP5.
